SO YOU ARE THINKING OF JOINING ?

You can join the air cadets anytime between the age of 13-18 yrs old, male or female. You can then stay on until you are 20 yrs old (22 for cadet warrant officers). You can join from any culture or background. It doesn’t matter about your ability.

Not all cadets join because they want a career with the Royal Air Force or Aerospace Industry
WE ARE NOT RECRUITING ORGANISATION FOR THE SERVICES.

As we are a ‘military’ youth organisation, you will be expected to take pride in your appearance, and be self disciplined – you will be joining something to be proud of.

You will be expected to take part in as many activities as possible but most cadets don’t need much persuading to do this.

‘the more you put into air cadets, the more you get back out - there is always something to do or go for.’

Our squadron is happy to have personal visits by potential cadets during one of our parade nights. Just come along and see if you like it. There is no obligation to join!

Don’t be shy about taking the first step – it may well be the best thing you have ever done!
